In a lifetime, a woman performs the role of a responsible wife, supportive partner, disciplined organizer, careful administrator, thoughtful director, re-creator, disburser, economist, loving mother, disciplinarian, idealistic teacher, health officer, artist and deadly queen in the family at the same time. Apart from it, woman also plays a key role in the socio-economic development of the society.
Time and again women have proved their worth; fighting against social restrictions, emotional ties, cultural clutches and religious boundaries in order to lend a helping hand to their male counterparts and help the society to grow. The development of a nation is directly related to the development of women. Their contributions in the respective fields needs to be acknowledged as well as applauded.
Women in TECH are an indispensable part of our living and with the increasing technical awareness, a lot of change can be observed in the male domineering society.
In order to celebrate women and equality in the tech industry, I would like to share my opinions and developments I wish to implement in tech.
Practical aspect of this field is what interests me as everything taught in computer science is either backed up by logic or some theories to be pondered upon. These theories can be tested, experimented and even implemented with the power of research work in this field. I am interested in innovating products that are helpful for the future generations and so have devoted myself towards innovation and research since my first year of college by exploiting the reasons behind a particular thing works or bugging my professors to share their researches to get an idea about this field.
One thing that I would like to work upon is normalising the acceptability on non-coders in the computer science field. Even if a person is not an excellent coder or has less liking for coding, he or she is no less than the other CS student as there are tons of career choices that require less of coding and more of integration like software engineering or system programming.
Although I am well verse with multiple programming languages, I prefer to work in the field of front-end web development as it is a perfect blend of logic and creativity. It does not require hard-core coding skills, yet one needs to be affluent with the knowledge of designing and creating products that satisfy the ideology behind the customer’s need of that particular product.
“A woman in any society, is the mirror of that society. If she is oppressed, that society is oppressed; if she is educated, that society is educated; if she is empowered, that society is empowered. A woman is like an atom of society, without whom there would be nothing.”
